I am Hala Alsafadi. I am 20 years old. I belong to a land which has so many tales to be told. A land full of injustice, tyranny, and twisted truth. A country that suffers on a daily basis from the Israeli Occupation while the rest of the world is busy with the US Box Office and barely knows a thing about the tragic plots that happen on this Holy Land  .I belong to the occupied Palestine, Gaza particularly.

I lived in the United States of America for a year. There, I was able to witness how the media doesn’t really show the truth. The whole picture of my country has not been viewed honestly. Watching how the Western media twisted the truth killed me from the inside. The approach of the Western Media which picks what to be shown and what to be hidden forced me to do something to unveil the hidden chapters of my Palestine’s tales to make the world aware of Israel  heartless crimes in Palestine, that even run against the International Law.

Ghandi once said, “ Be the change you want to see in the world.”  With the power of ink and words, Gazan youth are going to draw the change. A change built on truth, peace, freedom, and justice.

Through my blog, Gaza Behind The Scenes,

I promise Palestine to always do my best to show the entire world the real Palestine.

I promise Gaza to always do my best to show the entire world what is happening behind the scenes in Gaza.

With love and peace,

    Dear Miss Hala

My name is Andrej, I was originally born in Slovak Republic, later migrated into Northern Ireland, but first and foremost I would love to say that I have a huge amount of respect for you personally, and for all other people who do the kind of work which you are involved in. Being a “common westerner” I find that the West is completely unaware of what really matters and about what really goes on in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, and for me the simple realisation of the situation “on the ground” made me realise just how ignorant the ENTIRE western media and western public is about this so called “conflict” between the Palestinians and Israelis. As a result I’ve lost a huge number of friends, who simply, out their ignorance and established opinions, totally vilified me as a “weirdo and conspiracy theorist”… Never the less, I have been following the Middle Eastern , Independent and social media for a long time now including the work that Press TV does, to inform the wider public about the reality in the Middle East, but especially YOUR work, since I have immediately took a liking to your way of reporting the news, which are true news not simply “corporate entertainment” which has a huge backing by Zionist lobbies all around the European Union and the United States. I would also like to express my condolences for the loss of your colleague, a fellow correspondent Serena Shim, who’s death is a tragedy for all independent truth seekers like myself and many many others.. Above all, I wish you will keep doing what you do, I will always be a huge fan of yours, to me your are one of those heroes who’s stories never make it into history books, and I hope you are keeping safe, may God keep his eyes on you and protect you along with all Palestinians around the world, especially in the occupied territories and the Gaza Strip… I pray that one day all Palestinians will achieve justice, and all Zionists will face prosecution for their crimes against your people..

    With Love and Understanding

    Andrej 🙂
